Image-Search

GetImages- screenshot

Image-Search (previously GetImages) is a command for Ubiquity, and it’s an easy way to use Google Images.

Just open Ubiquity and type

google image search {word-to-search-for}

Now you can press “Enter” to go to Google Images, or left click on a preview to open it in its original size, or right click to insert it in a rich text field or to insert the link in a simple text field. You can navigate through results clicking on “Prev” or “Next”.

Image Search is now available as a default search verb in Ubiquity.
This page contains the latest version of the command: loading the page, a bar will be shown on top. Click the button. Read the scary page, select “auto-update” and click “I know what I’m doing”. The page contains the source code, so that you can check by yourself that the command is “clean”. Image-Search will be silently updated everytime a new version will be available.
